A perfect day by the coast, planned the way we would for ourselves
The hour-by-hour outline of a resort day we would sketch for ourselves on a Tuesday in late June. Alter as you wish.
07:00 · Quiet swim
The pool is empty and towel service has not begun. A coffee cart by the entrance offers single-origin filter coffee, no menu and no line. This half hour is the finest of the day.
08:30 · Terrace breakfast
Eggs made to order, pastries fresh from the kitchen oven, a small plate of seasonal fruit. We do not favour breakfast buffets. We favour plates carried by waiters who have looked after the same families for ten years.
10:00 · Spa or sea
Either choice works. The spa hammam is bright and still in the morning. The sea is gentlest before midday. Most guests pick one and wish they had done both; the uncommon guest manages both.
13:30 · Long lunch
Three hours at the lagoon bistro, with a bottle of light white and a plate of grilled fish you had not planned to order. No phones, no hurry. This is the meal that stays with you.
18:00 · Golden hour terrace
Aperitif on the upper deck. The bar team will know your name by the second day. The signature negroni rests on a vermouth we produce on-site; it is the most unexpected drink on the property.
21:00 · Tasting menu
Eight courses, two hours, one wine pairing. We have spent years composing this evening. We hope it rewards the journey.
23:30 · A short hour at the table
Or a slow walk back to the suite. Either way: tomorrow begins at 07:00 with a swim, and that rhythm is the whole idea.
